Do teachers go out of their way to help you? People who haven't got enough financial resources, because tuition and costs are too expensive. A lot of the kids at this school are very "L.A." People dress up to go to class, and partying and clubbing are big parts of people's lifestyles. Also, bad professors stand out, and word travels fast around campus about whom to avoid. I am guilty myself of not fully taking advantage of what was offered my first semester, but having been there for a year now, I have found so many things that I love and have finally realized I am surrounded by opportunites that have helped make me a better person. The school does not have a football team or on campus frat and sorority houses so the "typical crazy college experience" is not what you are going to get. My D was admitted to Occidental and Smith, both of which I believe are LAC's, while LMU is a university, and smaller. However, a person who attends LMU must also be very hardworking, as many classes can be challenging and the professors grade truthfully. I wouldn't worry about the name of the school that much. The LMU Guaranteed Professional Admission (GPA Program) is a unique program of Lincoln Memorial University that allows high-achieving, highly motivated high school seniors to earn guaranteed acceptance into one of our professional degree pathways upon successful completion of their Undergraduate degree at LMU. The professors at LMU are extraordinary; education-wise LMU is top-notch. If you're athiest, and proud of it, you'd better be ok with not talking about it around the Catholic peoples. This school is diverse enough to include every kind of person and your experience really depends on what you make it. With regard to LMU and Occidental to a certain extent, but more so with regard to Smith, LMU is not as "prestigious" or highly ranked. Most professors respond to students’ questions within hours. Someone who wants very large class sizes with cut-throat competition. If you do not equate yourself into these categories, it is a lot harder to find your place here, and I wouldn't recommend it to you.

Hello all, so I just got into LMU and i absolutely LOVED it when I visited out of all the schools I applied to. I'm only a freshman, but some of the professors I have had are absolutely brilliant. Students who are in good standing or who left a program in good standing will be considered for admission. LMU is a liberal arts college and people here feel free to express themselves in the way they dress. However, my goal had always been to return to Southern California, and LMU had been on my radar for quite some time.
